FoodCASE is a comprehensive data management system designed to handle food composition, consumption, TDS (Total Diet Studies), and branded food data. It enables users to calculate and aggregate nutrient values, manage recipe calculations, and integrate new datasets for a holistic view of food-related information. Developed with extensive academic and industry collaboration, FoodCASE supports robust data validation processes and aligns with FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) principles where possible. By allowing the export of EuroFIR FDTP files, Excel spreadsheets, PDFs, and customizable APIs with JSON, it seamlessly fits into a variety of workflows—ranging from research labs requiring high-level nutrient analytics to government agencies monitoring dietary trends. The built-in recipe calculation module supports more accurate nutrient estimates, aiding both public health planning and product innovation.
